London, ON, le 27 septembre 2023 – Paillé Course//Racing a terminé sa saison 2023 en série NASCAR Pinty’s avec un autre top-cinq, alors que Andrew Ranger a réalisé une quatrième place au Delaware Speedway, dimanche, au Pinty’s Fall Brawl. Marc-Antoine Camirand a quant à lui été contraint à son seul abandon de la saison suite à un problème de moteur.

Andrew Ranger n’avait qu’un seul objectif pour cette dernière course de la saison 2023 en série NASCAR Pinty’s : il souhaitait s’amuser, après avoir connu passablement de malchance en cours d’année. Sixième au terme de la séance d’essais et dixième en qualifications, Ranger a toutefois entamé la course avec une crevaison, avant même que le drapeau vert initial ne soit donné.

« Ça n’a pas été une course de tout repos, au contraire ! Après que j’ai été obligé de prendre le départ de l’arrière après la première crevaison, j’avais remonté le peloton et je croyais bien être en mesure de me battre dans le peloton de tête. Mais par la suite, j’ai dû repartir de l’arrière encore non pas une, mais deux fois », a raconté Ranger.

Le pilote de la Camaro GM Paillé/Chevrolet Canada n° 27 a en effet été pris derrière un incident en piste, et a été forcé de repartir de l’arrière après que les officiels de NASCAR aient jugé qu’il avait été impliqué dans l’incident. Par la suite, il a dû entrer aux puits pour une seconde crevaison.

Ranger a toutefois démontré toute sa ténacité, remontant jusqu’en quatrième place. « Je me suis vraiment battu tout au long de la course. J’avais comme but de m’amuser aujourd’hui, et finalement, c’est ce que j’ai fait malgré cette course mouvementée. Je suis vraiment heureux de terminer la saison sur cette bonne note », a conclu Ranger.

De son côté, Marc-Antoine Camirand arrivait en bonne posture au Delaware Speedway afin de sécuriser sa deuxième place au championnat, mais visait surtout à obtenir un autre podium sur ce rapide ovale situé près de London, en Ontario.

Deuxième en essais et troisième en qualifications, sa Camaro GM Paillé/Chevrolet Canada n° 96 a démontré beaucoup de vitesse tout au long de la journée. Au départ de la course de 250 tours, Camirand roulait dans le top cinq alors qu’un bris de moteur a mis fin à sa course.

« C’est dommage, car nous espérions terminer la saison sur une meilleure note, mais ça fait partie des courses, et c’est notre seul abandon de la saison. Je suis très fier de toute mon équipe qui a livré tout un travail course après course tout au long de l’année. Nous pouvons être fiers du travail accompli et de notre solide deuxième place au championnat », a conclu Camirand.

Camirand, Second in the Championships, Suffers Engine Failure

London, ON, September 27, 2023 – Paillé Course//Racing finished its 2023 NASCAR Pinty’s series season with another top-five finish, as Andrew Ranger finished fourth at Delaware Speedway on Sunday in the Pinty’s Fall Brawl. Marc-Antoine Camirand was forced into his only DNF of the season following an engine failure.

Andrew Ranger had only one objective for this last race of the 2023 NASCAR Pinty’s series season: he wanted to have fun, after having experienced a fair amount of hard luck during the year. Sixth in the practice session and tenth in qualifying, Ranger however started the race with a puncture tire, even before the initial green flag was given.

“It hasn’t been an easy race, on the contrary! After I was forced to start from the back because of the first puncture, I had gained many track positions and I believed I would be able to fight with the top runners. But then, I had to start from the back again not once, but twice,” Ranger said.

The driver of the GM Paillé/Chevrolet Canada n°27 Camaro was caught behind an on-track incident, and was forced to start from the back after NASCAR officials ruled that he had been involved in the incident. After that, he had to enter the pits for a second puncture.

Ranger, however, showed all his tenacity, moving up to fourth place. “I really fought throughout the race. My goal was to have fun today, and in the end, that’s what I did despite this eventful race. I’m really happy to end the season on this good note,” concluded Ranger.

For his part, Marc-Antoine Camirand arrived at Delaware Speedway in a good position to secure his second place in the championship, and wanted to score another podium on this fast oval track located near London, Ontario.

Second in practice and third in qualifying, his GM Paillé/Chevrolet Canada n°96 Camaro demonstrated a lot of speed throughout the day. At the start of the 250-lap race, Camirand was running in the top five when an engine failure ended his race.

“It’s a shame, because we were hoping to end the season on a better note, but it’s part of racing, and it’s our only DNF of the season. I am very proud of my entire team who put in a lot of work race after race throughout the year. We can be proud of the work accomplished and our solid second place in the championship,” concluded Camirand.
